Auditions for Incoming 6th graders for 2008-2009

Incoming 6th graders who are proficient in their instruments are offered an opportunity to audition to a higher level group.  Only students who would like to be placed in the higher groups (Intermediate or Advanced) need to audition.  Students who would like to enroll in the first level class (middle school 6th grade level) do not need to audition.  If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Haslop.  If you are unable to make any of the below dates, please contact Mrs. Haslop to schedule an alternate date.  Listed below are audition requirements for each instrument.  Please take time to practice and prepare for the audition.  Audition results are final and no re-auditioning is permitted.

    Monday, April 28th       Pennekamp   

    Tuesday, April 29th       Pacific

    Wednesday, April 30th  Meadows 

    Thursday, May 1st         Pacific 

    Friday, May 2nd            Grandview 

 

Auditions for current 6th & 7th graders for placement in 2008-2009 classes

Current 2007-2008 MBMS students audition for placement for next year beginning Tuesday, May 27th, 2008.  These auditions serve also as class final tests and will be held in class.  The schedule for specific tests will be announced and posted in the classroom.  If a student is absent or not feeling well, please have her/him contact Mrs. Haslop to schedule another time to make up the test/audition.  Current Cadet Band/Cadet Strings students who are extremely proficient in their instruments may choose to skip the middle group and audition for the top group on June 2nd and/or June 3rd, from 3pm - 5pm.   Testing/audition results are final and no re-testing is permitted.
